Even those who bought fake certificate should be motivated to get vaccinated – Groysman

KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The key goal of the authorities today should be to save the lives of Ukrainians and the introduction of a set of motivational measures – including for those who made a mistake and for various reasons acquired a fake certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, the ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine, leader of the Ukrainian Strategy political party Volodymyr Groysman said.

According to him, every week Ukraine loses a "small town", every day – a "stadium", and vaccination is the only counteraction to these losses. That is why everyone should have access to the vaccine.

"Everyone has the right to make a mistake. He bought a fake. But what is the task? To save a life! That is why a person should have the right to come to a doctor, report a fake certificate and get vaccinated. And let the police further check [the origin of the documents]," Groysman said on the air of Ukraine 24 on Tuesday.

He is convinced that in conditions when vaccination in the country has actually failed, and the government lost time to purchase vaccines and conduct high-quality explanatory work, any method of encouragement works.

"There is no need to divide people – who was vaccinated and who was not. People need to be motivated to protect, even money – this will definitely increase the number of vaccinated. Provide vaccines, conduct advocacy, ensure full access to vaccines not only in cities, but also in small communities. And then – oxygen in hospitals, restoration of the rhythm of healthcare institutions financing, provision of free anti-COVID treatment packages for people who are treated at home," the politician said.

Separately, he noted the organization of testing for coronavirus in schools and institutions of higher and professional education.

"They [educational institutions] are closing, we will have a failure in the quality of education. You can arrange mixed forms of education, and to take measures to identify COVID at schools. It’s about testing! It’s small funds. We spend billions on treatment and lose people," the ex-prime minister said.
