EVA introduces electronic fiscal receipts in chain stores
KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In April 2022, the Ukrainian drogerie retailer EVA began to introduce electronic fiscal checks in the chain stores, EVA CEO Olha Shevchenko said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
"We are introducing electronic fiscal receipts. Our online store has been operating on this system for more than a year. The chain began working with electronic fiscal receipts in April. By the end of the year, about 300 cash desks out of 2,500 will work on this technology. This format is very convenient and for the store, and for the buyer, and it is also environmentally friendly," Shevchenko said.
According to her, the chain will completely switch to electronic checks in a year and a half, which means it will abandon the cash register.
"We have almost completely abandoned paper in the office. We have switched to internal electronic document management for about five years. We have been gradually introducing this format for external document management for about two years. We are moving to digital electronic contracts certified by electronic signatures with our partners, suppliers of goods and services and even landlords," Shevchenko said.
Also, according to her, a lot of processes are automated in stores that are invisible to the buyer. Many innovations to facilitate the work of sellers are introduced. Many operations are performed by pressing a single button.
As for customers, there is a program for the introduction of self-service checkouts. "We stopped it during the war, but have already resumed it. Next month we plan to invest in self-service checkouts," Shevchenko said.
The issuance of online orders is automated. Pick-up points will be opened in each of the stores of the chain, now there are about 600 of them.
"Plus, we are introducing a viber bot that will speed up and facilitate the receipt of orders. We are working very hard on the development of a mobile application. Before the war, there were already about a million downloads. We hope that even more people will use it. There will be convenient tools for the online store, both for the chain and for click & collect, when you can order a product in the application, and then pick up the package in the store without a queue," Shevchenko said.
