KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The European Commission in a new package of sanctions against Russia proposes to expand the "black list" by adding 169 organizations and restrict supplies of a range of goods in order to cripple Russia’s military and industrial complex, Politico reported on Thursday referring to obtained documents.
"The package aims to stifle the ‘enhancement of Russian industrial capacities’ with an expanded list of 169 organizations providing goods ‘which might contribute to the technological enhancement of Russia’s defense and security sector’," it said.
"The EU also wants to expand the list of sanctioned goods for use in aviation and the space industry ‘to include aircraft engines and their parts,’ and also places ‘laptops, hard drives, cameras and lenses’ under new restrictions," Politico said.
The new sanctions are also aimed at drone engines, chemical and biological equipment, riot control agents and electronic components come under these new sanctions, the legal text says.
