European Travel Insurance raises premiums by 2.7 times, payments by 30.5% for nine months

KYIV. Nov 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – European Travel Insurance (Kyiv) in January-September 2021 increased the collection of insurance premiums 2.7 times compared to the same period a year earlier – up to UAH 341.348 million.

According to the insurer’s website, the collected premiums on accident insurance amounted to UAH 44.567 million (2.8 times more), luggage insurance – UAH 8.918 million (49.3% more), third party liability insurance – UAH 8.353 million (15.2% more), financial risk insurance – UAH 46.606 million (3 times more), medical expenses insurance – UAH 232.904 million (2.8 times more).

For the three quarters, the company paid out insurance indemnities in the amount of UAH 69.666 million, or 30.5% more than in the nine months of 2020. Most of the payments of UAH 44.131 million (4.7% less) were made on medical insurance and 25.406 UAH million for financial risks insurance.

According to the insurer, as of September 30, its technical reserves amounted to UAH 128.683 million, equity capital – UAH 149.865 million, charter capital – UAH 9.473 million.

European Travel Insurance was founded in 2006. It occupies one of the leading positions in the Ukrainian travel insurance market.
