Erdogan to hold talks with Putin, Zelensky
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the coming days.
The Turkish president said this while speaking to the TRT World Forum in Istanbul on Friday, according to the Anadolu agency.
Erdogan said that the talks with Putin are scheduled for Sunday, December 11. The key subject of their conversation will be operation of the grain corridor. He also said that he plans to talk to Zelensky as well.
The diplomatic efforts of Ankara are aimed at achieving peace in the Black Sea region, the Turkish president said.
"Despite the fact that the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul was interrupted, this platform is still the best for reaching long-term peace," Erdogan said.
