Erdogan tells Putin about need to establish just peace without further victims in Russian-Ukrainian conflict
KYIV. Feb 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in Ukraine and the grain deal by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Anadolu agency reported on Friday.
“It is necessary to establish a just peace without further human casualties and destruction in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” Anadolu quoted the Turkish president as saying.
Erdogan stated Turkey’s sincere desire to extend the grain deal concluded in Istanbul in 2022, noting that Ankara is ready to contribute to this.
