Energy Ministry hands over 45 tonnes of power equipment from intl partners to Khersonoblenergo
KYIV. Feb 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine transferred 45 tonnes of power equipment to JSC Khersonoblenergo for repair and restoration work at power facilities in Kherson region that suffered from Russian attacks.
According to a message of the Ministry of Energy on the Telegram channel on Thursday, among the equipment that was transferred to Kherson power engineers are transformers, generators, disconnectors, and equipment for repairing power lines.
“Power engineers work 24/7, using the equipment provided by international partners, and return electricity and heat to the homes of Ukrainians,” Minister of Energy Herman Haluschenko is quoted in the message.
He expressed gratitude to Poland, Germany, Lithuania and Azerbaijan for their assistance.
“Thanks to the support of our partners, we continue to hold our energy front,” he stressed.
As reported, according to the Ministry of Energy, as of February 1, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, established by the Energy Community Secretariat in April 2022, received EUR 144.366 million, of which EUR 108 million was distributed for the purchase of power equipment, fuel, and services to meet the critical needs of Ukrainian energy companies.
