Enemy launches 52 missile, air strikes, carries out over 100 attacks using MLRS – AFU General Staff

KYIV. March 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day, the Russian invaders launched 40 air strikes, 12 missile strikes and fired more than 100 shelling from multiple launch rocket systems. The enemy continues to try to capture Bakhmut, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

On the Facebook page, the General Staff said one of the missile strikes had been carried out on Kramatorsk. A three-story residential building was damaged, there are dead and wounded among the local population. Another missile attack took place in the city of Zatoka, Odesa region. The fragments of the rocket damaged one of the buildings of the Zolota Rybka (Golden fish) children’s educational institution. There are no casualties or losses among the local population. The enemy also launched a missile attack on a civilian infrastructure facility in the village of Ivanivka, Kherson region. There are casualties among the local population and at least one private house is damaged.

On Volynsk, Polissia, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The enemy maintains a military presence near the state border of Ukraine, but the formation of offensive groups has not been identified. At the same time, the enemy continued to equip the terrain in the border regions of Bryansk and Kursk regions.

In Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine to prevent the transfer of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to other directions. During the previous day, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of the Ukrainian troops. The invaders carried out artillery shelling of four settlements along the line of combat clashes in Kharkiv region; seven settlements of Luhansk region.

“In Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not leave attempts to capture the city of Bakhmut, where constant positional battles continue,” the General Staff said. The AFU repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Yahidne, Khromove and Orikhove-Vasylivka. Some 15 settlements of Donetsk region near the line of collision were subjected to enemy shelling. Among them are Nykyforivka, Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Dubove-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Kostiantynivka.

On Avdiyivka, Maryinka and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of the settlements of Kamianka, Nivelske, Pervomaiske, Novomykhailivka, and others of Donetsk region. The areas of 16 settlements of Donetsk region were subjected to enemy shelling: Berdychi, Kamianka, Avdiyivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, and others.

On Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, the enemy conducted defensive operations. Some 17 settlements of Zaporizhia region, near which hostilities are being conducted, were subjected to shellings, as well as 20 settlements of Kherson region.
