Enemy fires over 100 shells from MLRS, heavy artillery at Mykolaiv region – Pivden Task Force
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The enemy fired more than 100 shells from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and heavy artillery at Mykolaiv region, Head of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Pivden (South) Task Force Natalia Humeniuk said.
"They are hitting Bereznehyvate, an elevator was hit there, there are victims, unfortunately… Smerch multiple launch rocket systems also hit the very settlement where a professional lyceum was damaged. More than 100 shells from MLRS and heavy artillery were fired at Nikopol district. This, of course, is a provocation in the direction of waiting for an answer, so that ours would strike in opposition to the direction of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, this is a well-known nuclear blackmail," Humeniuk said on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.
In addition, with the help of kamikaze drones, the port infrastructure of Ochakiv was attacked.
"The facts of the use of kamikaze drones in our direction this night have now been recorded. With their help, the port infrastructure of Ochakiv was attacked, a fire broke out. Fortunately, there were no casualties, everything was quickly extinguished and liquidated," Humeniuk said.
