Enemy begins construction of fortifications, trenches in temporarily occupied Crimea – AFU General Staff

KYIV. March 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Between the settlements of Ishun and Voyenko in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the enemy has begun the construction of fortifications and trenches, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has reported.

“The civilian population is forcibly recruited to carry out the work on a gratuitous basis,” the General Staff said in the report, published on Saturday morning.

Also in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, the so-called “local authorities” announced the start of large-scale military exercises with the involvement of the entire conscript male population of Starobelsk, Schastia, Novy Aidar, Novopskov, and Nyzhnioteply, who have passports with inscriptions of the so-called “LPR” and “RF.”

“Thus, the invaders are trying to hide the total mobilization in the above settlements,” the General Staff said.

During the day, the aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine inflicted six strikes on enemy concentration areas, and missile and artillery units hit two enemy personnel concentration areas and one position of its air defense systems.
