Emergency Response Commission cancels 'red' level of epidemic danger in eight regions and Kyiv city

KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response at an extraordinary meeting on Monday decided to cancel the "red" level of epidemic danger in a number of regions of Ukraine, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov said.

"According to the results, the State Commission decided to cancel the ‘red’ level of epidemic danger in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne, Kherson regions and the city of Kyiv from 00:00 on December 7, 2021," Nemchinov said on the Telegram channel.

In addition, on December 6, new quarantine rules that the government adopted last week began to operate in Ukraine. Only those who have received at least one dose of vaccination against COVID-19 and have a corresponding document – a "yellow" COVID certificate or certificate 063/o, will be able to visit public facilities in the "yellow" zone of epidemic danger.

To serve visitors and customers, workers in restaurants, hotels and gyms will need to have at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine. At the same time, it will be possible to use a negative test, which is valid for 72 hours, or an alternative document, a COVID certificate of recovery, to visit public facilities.

Thus, in the "yellow" zone of epidemic danger, public facilities will not be able to serve clients, as well as to allow those who do not have one of the listed documents to work.
