Eight Russian cruise missile carriers on duty in Black, Azov and Mediterranean Seas – AFU Navy
KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – There are eight carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles in the Black and Mediterranean Seas, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
"There are three enemy carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles on combat duty in the Black Sea, a total salvo of 18 missiles. In the Sea of Azov, the enemy continues to control sea communications, keeping up to six ships and boats on combat duty. In the Mediterranean Sea, there are five carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles," the AFU Navy said on the Telegram channel on Friday.
The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also informed that during the day, in the interests of Russia, the passage of the Kerch-Yenikale Canal was made: 28 vessels to the Black Sea, of which four vessels continued to move in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait; 19 vessels to the Sea of Azov, of which two vessels moved from the Bosphorus Strait.
"The Russian Federation continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Protection of Human Life at Sea (SOLAS) by turning off automatic identification systems (AIS) on civilian vessels in the water area," the report says.
