Eight people die of COVID-19 in Kyiv last week
KYIV. March 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Eight people died of the consequences caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus disease in Kyiv over the last week, Kyiv City State Administration has said.
“Eight people died of COVID-19 last week. Some 1,358 people recovered from it,” the administration said on its website on Monday.
Last week, some 1,268 new cases of the disease were recorded in the capital city. Also, 34 medical workers caught the disease. Some 143 people were hospitalized.
The largest number of cases were registered in Darnytsky (272), Desniansky (212), and Dniprovsky (164) districts.
The healthcare department of the administration recalled that vaccination is the most reliable way to protect yourself from the coronavirus disease.
