Eight parties pass to Rada, including Opposition Platform, Radical Party, Ukrainian Strategy of Groyman – KIIS opinion poll
KYIV. Sept 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A total of eight political parties would have overcome the 5% passing barrier in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada if they took place in mid-September, according to the results of an all-Ukrainian public opinion poll conducted on September 10-15 by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
A total of 20% of those who are going to vote and have made their choice, would vote for the Servant of the People party, 17.4% – for European Solidarity, 11.6% – for the Opposition Platform – For Life party, 10.8% – for All-Ukrainian association Batkivschyna, 7.8% – for the Strength and Honor party, 5.5% – for the Opposition Bloc party, 5% each for the Radical Party and the Ukrainian Strategy of Groysman.
The rest of the parties would not overcome the passing barrier. In particular, 3.5% of those who decided on their choice, are ready to vote for the Shariy Party, 2.8% for the Civil Position party, 2.1% for the UDAR party, 2% for Samopomich, 1.8% for the All-Ukrainian Association Svoboda, for the parties Za Maybutne and National Corps – 1% each, for the parties ProPozytsia and the Holos – 0.6% for each. All other political forces would have won 1.5% of the vote combined.
Some 11.5% of the total number of respondents found it difficult to answer. 19.1% said they would not go to the polls, 2.1% would delete all candidates or spoil the ballot, 0.4% refused to answer.
In the course of the study, 2,002 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed using computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers in all government-controlled regions of Ukraine. The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) does not exceed: 2.4% for indicators close to 50% and 1.1% for indicators close to 5%.
