Eight ceasefire violations recorded in Donbas in past 24 hours – JFO HQ
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the past day, eight violations of the ceasefire regime by the Russian occupation forces have been recorded in Donbas, the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said on Wednesday.
In particular, in the direction of Shyrokyne, Russia-led forces fired at Ukrainian positions from heavy anti-tank and automatic heavy grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Near Novozvanivka, the enemy twice used 120-caliber mortars, anti-tank and automatic heavy grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Near New York, Russian armed formations fired from heavy anti-tank grenade launchers. Near Krasnohorivka, the enemy was shelling Ukrainian positions from 120 caliber mortars and MT-12 anti-tank guns. Also, the Russian occupation troops fired at the outskirts of Krasnohorivka from 120-caliber mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements; there were no casualties among the local population. Near Maryinka, the enemy fired twice from 120-caliber mortars, anti-tank and automatic heavy-duty grenade launchers and small arms.
Ukrainian defenders opened fire in response to enemy shelling attacks.
It is noted that there are no combat losses among the military personnel of the Joint Forces. "As of 7:00, September 1, no ceasefire violations were recorded," the report says.
