Egypt purchases 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn – APK-Inform
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Egyptian General Authority For Supply Commodities (GASC) has purchased 60,000 tonnes of corn of Ukrainian origin under a direct agreement, the website of the APK-Inform agency reported on Monday.
According to it, agricultural products were purchased from the operator Egyptian African Co in two batches of 30,000 tonnes each. The cost of corn was $323 per tonne, including the crop itself was purchased for $308 per tonne on FOB terms (Free On Board), and the charter of the vessel cost $15 per tonne.
Delivery of corn to Egypt will be made from the second half of February to the beginning of March 2023.
