Economy Ministry initiates 'pilot' on AI use in technical regulation system
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has initiated a pilot project to introduce artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies into the technical regulation system within the framework of cooperation with the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), the corresponding technologies should be introduced at the National Accreditation Agency and the Ukrainian Agency for Standardization.
As the Ministry of Economy reported on its website, the project should streamline the development of standards and establish a notification system between ministries and businesses.
"The project provides for the creation of service and operational electronic platforms. We are talking about electronic accreditation services, a system for storing information and structured access, automation of order processing and their execution, an electronic register of auditors for professional qualifications," the ministry said.
Separate directions are interaction on the e-platform with the national standardization body for advanced training.
As Deputy Economy Minister Serhiy Telenyk explained, digital transformation of accreditation and standardization minimizes corruption risks and reduces costs for these processes.
