DTEK Oil & Gas to boost production via modular refrigeration unit
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK Oil & Gas expects to receive an additional 20 million cubic meters of gas by late 2021, bringing the annual production to 2 billion cubic meters, due to a modular refrigeration unit, which was launched at Machukhske field on September 13, the DTEK Corporate Communications Directorate said.
"Thanks to the refrigeration unit, we will get additional production and will reach a new record figure for private gas production this year – 2 billion cubic meters of gas," CEO of DTEK Oil & Gas Ihor Schurov said.
According to him, the main task of the modular refrigeration unit is to optimize development of Machukhske field and maintain the rate of extraction of hydrocarbons from it, and the unit will additionally improve the quality of gas produced by the company.
DTEK Oil & Gas said that over seven years of development of Machukhske field, the company has increased its production from 20 million cubic meters to almost 1 billion cubic meters of gas thanks to systemic investments and introduction of modern technological solutions along the entire production chain: from geological exploration and drilling to gas production and treatment.
As reported, DTEK Oil & Gas in January-July produced more than 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas (an increase of more than 10% over the same period in 2020). The company noted that the increase in production became possible due to the implementation of the drilling program in 2020 and the completion of drilling of two wells in 2021.
