DTEK no longer interested in buying Geo Alliance assets – CEO
KYIV. Nov 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK is no longer interested in buying the assets of the Geo Alliance gas production group, DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"As for the deal with Geo Alliance. We are not involved in this deal in any way. We talked about our interest somewhere at the initial stage. Today, I do not know what is happening there. We are not in this process," he said.
As reported, the Geo Alliance group includes 19 legal entities, the largest of which are PJSC Natural Resources and Eastern Geological Union LLC. Geo Alliance is under the mandate of the international investment and consulting group EastOne, which unites the assets of Victor Pinchuk. In 2012, EastOne announced a strategic partnership between Geo Alliance and Arawak Energy Ukraine B.V., a member of the Vitol group of companies, one of the largest operators in the world energy market.
