DTEK Energy allocates almost UAH 1.4 bln for its TPP repair campaign in eight months

KYIV. Sept 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK Energy, in preparation for the heating season 2021-2022, has allocated almost UAH 1.4 billion for the repair campaign of thermal power plants’ (TPPs) units in eight months of this year, the company’s press service said on Thursday.

Repairs, in particular, were carried out at 17 (including unscheduled ones) of the 28 power units of TPPs planned this year: Kryvy Rih TPP, Prydniprovska TPP, Zaporizhia TPP, Kurakhivska TPP, Luhansk TPP, Burshtyn TPP, Dobrotvirska TPP (turbine) and Ladyzhyn TPP.

Nine unit repairs are underway at: Kryvy Rih, Prydniprovska, Zaporizhia, Kurakhivska, Burshtyn and Dobrotvirska TPPs. By the end of the year, it is planned to implement four more repairs – these are the power units of Kurakhivska, Luhansk, Burshtyn and Ladyzhyn TPPs.

"In total, over 2021, DTEK Energy plans to allocate about UAH 2.5 billion to the TPP repair campaign," the press service said.

DTEK Energy is an operating company responsible for coal mining and power generation in the structure of the DTEK holding.

DTEK was established in 2005 to manage the energy assets of the System Capital Management Group (SCM, Donetsk) owned by Rinat Akhmetov. The corporation has been delegated the functions of strategic management of the group’s enterprises that make up a vertically integrated chain of coal mining and processing, electricity generation and sale.
