Dragon Capital adapts its facilities to various possible stress scenarios

KYIV. Nov 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Dragon Capital is adapting its facilities to various possible stress scenarios, ensuring autonomous operation during power outages, the company’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine.

"All our business centers, shopping centers and logistics complexes are equipped with powerful diesel generators. How else are we preparing and what are we doing at the facilities? In particular, we buy water tanks and provide storage for several days; we install WCs in underground parking lots, internet and heating to set up temporary shelters; allow tenants to use the roof to place Starlink," Director of Facility Management at Dragon Capital Property Management Oleksandr Shmorhun said.

He also said that for the minimum needs of protection, security of facilities and for reasonable fuel consumption during a long power outage, all facilities are equipped with one or two low-power generators.

"We conclude contracts for the storage of diesel with a margin for autonomous operation for two or three days when the facility is completely de-energized, in agreement with the tenant, the autonomous operation period can be extended up to a week. We keep full tanks of diesel generators, under a permanent contract, the contractor delivers fuel and provides refueling; we are upgrading systems to work in automatic mode," Shmorhun said.

The company also routinely carries out periodic maintenance of equipment and systems necessary for autonomous operation of facilities in accordance with the recommendations of manufacturers, the requirements of state regulations and the peculiarities of individual operation of facilities.
