Draft state budget for 2022 provides for rise in financing of Regional Development Ministry by 2.2 times

KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The draft state budget for 2022 provides for an increase in funding for the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development by 2.2 times, or by UAH 11.3 billion compared to 2021.

According to draft law No. 6000 of September 15, 2021, it is proposed to allocate UAH 3.7 billion more to the ministry apparatus than this year – UAH 6.17 billion. In addition, UAH 213.4 million is provided for financing the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Construction.

For the functioning of the Energy Efficiency Fund, the draft budget foresees UAH 2.6 billion, for improving the energy efficiency of public buildings – UAH 88.3 million. For the program for the development of municipal infrastructure, UAH 500 million is provided, for the development of urban water supply – UAH 100 million.

In addition, UAH 2.22 billion is planned to be spent on the development of urban infrastructure in the district heating sector, the development of the water supply system in Mykolaiv and the reconstruction of the communal water management system in Chernivtsi.

The document also provides for an increase in the charter capital of the State Fund for Support of Youth Housing Construction by UAH 28 million, as well as providing it with financial support in the amount of UAH 6.8 million.

It is planned to allocate UAH 13.8 billion for subventions to local budgets, of which UAH 11.2 billion – to the State Regional Development Fund. It is also proposed to allocate UAH 187.6 million for the development of comprehensive plans for the spatial development of territorial communities.

As reported, on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved and sent to the Verkhovna Rada the draft state budget for 2022.
