Documents, allegedly gold watch from Russia’s President found at residence of so-called first deputy mayor of Kherson – SBI
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) conducted searches at the office of the so-called first deputy mayor of Kherson: documents and award watches from the President of the Russian Federation were found, the SBI reports.
"Employees of the SBI, in cooperation with the prosecutor’s office, conducted a search at the so-called occupation city administration of Kherson, who is suspected of working for the enemy, the Bureau said on Telegram on Thursday.
According to the SBI, during the searches, abandoned documents were found that can serve as an evidence base for the investigation.
"An indicative find and another proof for the investigation was allegedly a gold award watch from the president of Russia, which the collaborator boasted about in his circle, claiming that it was a real gift from Putin for the warm welcome of the ‘new government,’" the message says.
The SBI emphasizes that during the liberation of Kherson by the Ukrainian military, the defendant "ran away together with his curators so that he left both his watch and all other property."
Currently, the issue of serving a notice of suspicion is being resolved.
