Diplomats working on preparations for visit of U.S. President to Ukraine – Kuleba
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian diplomats are working on preparations for the visit of President of the United States Joseph Biden to Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
On the air of the Ukraine 24 television channel on Wednesday, Kuleba said the date of the visit is still unknown, but it will certainly take place, and Biden will visit Ukraine during his tenure as U.S. President.
"We are working on a return visit [the visit of U.S. President Joseph Biden to Ukraine]. I am convinced that during his presidency Joe Biden will visit Ukraine, since our country is very important for him and is a very important priority of U.S. foreign policy," the diplomat said.
Biden last visited Ukraine in January 2017 while serving as U.S. Vice President. During his visit, Biden took part in bilateral meetings with fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, and Volodymyr Groysman, who was then head of the government.
