Diia to be able to register conscripts, persons eligible for service, reservists – Defense Minister Taran
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran announced the provision on the Diia portal of electronic services to citizens for the performance of their military duties.
"The principles of digitalization of military registration processes have already been laid down both at the level of territorial recruitment and social support centers and in the military accounting system in the country. This will allow in the short term, instead of a paper document, to have a Military_ID number. It will be formed when a person’s data is entered into the register, a unique record will be generated that will never be repeated for another person," the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine said, citing Taran.
In particular, we are talking about the information contained about citizens in the Unified State Register of conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists.
According to the Defense Minister, the implementation of the project of the so-called "electronic recruitment and social support center" in Diia is scheduled for 2022 or 2023.
In particular, it is expected that online, for example, it will be possible to change the registration of the place of residence or see information about the inclusion of a person in the register, namely the account number in it, and others.
"Now a joint order of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Digital Transformation is being developed, which determines the procedure for the exchange of information between the Diia portal and the registry. The defense department has also started integration processes with other public registries. Thus, citizens will receive state services for military duties without queues and corruption risks, right in their smartphones," Taran said.
