Details on personnel rotations in govt to appear in second half of Sept – MP Kravchuk
KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy head of the Servant of the People faction Yevhenia Kravchuk predicts that more specific information on possible personnel rotations in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will appear after the start of the next session of the Verkhovna Rada.
"September will put everything in its place, and it is obvious that there will be certain personnel changes […] It is more likely that in the second half of September there may be some specifics," Kravchuk said on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel on Monday, August 30.
She said that the sixth session of the Verkhovna Rada will start work on September 7, after which the MPs will have an opportunity to discuss the issue of personnel rotations in the government at the level of specialized committees, as well as at a meeting of the Servant of the People faction.
"I do not want to talk about surnames, because now there is not a single resignation letter submitted, I mean dismissal of own free will, and consultations in the faction have not begun," Kravchuk said.
When asked whether the information that former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko could become an advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Kravchuk replied: "Regarding assignments, I think it would be more correct to address the minister, whose advisor he will be. I saw Mr. Anton Gerashchenko at the celebration of the Independence Day and it was clear that he was determined to be involved into work in any way. And this is correct from the point of view of continuity: there should be a normal transfer of affairs between the previous and the current ministers."
In addition, she said that it is likely that during the first plenary week of the sixth session, the Rada will be able to appoint a new head of the law enforcement committee instead of Denys Monastyrsky, who became the Minister of Internal Affairs.
"I know this person, he is a good specialist, he is now working as an MP, this is a representative of our faction. But again, it would be more correct for the head of the faction to talk about this," Kravchuk said.
