Demand for rental apartments in Kyiv 38% higher than pre-war – bird data
KYIV. April 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Demand for renting apartments in Kyiv in April 2023 exceeded the pre-war figure by 38%, according to data from the bird iOS app for renting apartments.
“The number of applicants for apartments for rent has fully recovered since the beginning of the war and even more: today demand is 38% higher than the pre-war level. The expected increase in rental prices after the winter and lockdowns has not yet happened,” bird said in a press release says.
According to bird, in April, the price of renting two-room apartments in Kyiv grew by 4%. So, now the median price is UAH 13,000 per month, while for one-room apartments – UAH 9,000 per month, and for three-room apartments – UAH 20,000 per month.
In Lviv, in general, higher prices for renting an apartment remain than in Kyiv. However, compared to the previous month, one-room apartments have fallen in price by 7%, and two-room apartments – by 12%. Thus, the median price for renting a one-room apartment in Lviv is UAH 15,000 per month, a two-room apartment is UAH 16,000 per month, and a three-room apartment is UAH 18,600 per month.
