Deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods grows 2.3-fold in Jan-Nov 2022 – statistics
KYIV. Jan 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The negative balance of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods in January-November 2022 grew 2.3-fold compared to the same period in 2021, to $8.524 billion from $3.635 billion, the State Statistics Service reported on Friday.
According to its data, the export of goods from Ukraine for the specified period compared to January-November 2021 fell by 33.6%, to $40.671 billion, import plunged by 24.2%, to $49.195 billion.
The State Statistics Service said that in November, compared to October, the seasonally adjusted volume of exports fell by 2.6%, to $3.507 billion, while imports grew by 2.0%, to $4.827 billion.
The seasonally adjusted foreign trade balance in November 2022 was negative and amounted to $1.319 billion, while in October 2022 it was also negative being $1.129 billion.
The export-to-import coverage ratio in January-November 2022 amounted to 0.83 (in January-November 2021 it was 0.94).
The State Statistics Service said that foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 230 countries of the world.
