Decision on Ukraine's accession to NATO to be political in nature – Reznikov
KYIV. Dec 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The adoption of a decision on Ukraine’s entry into NATO will be of a political nature, now there is no agreement in the Alliance on this matter, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.
"The adoption of a decision on Ukraine’s accession to NATO will be of a political nature, it is a political decision of all the countries of the Alliance. You know that today there is no agreement in the Alliance on this matter. There are some countries that continue to adhere to the tactic of ‘not provoking Russia,’" Reznikov said during an hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv on Friday.
At the same time, he stressed that "we should not wait and be ready for de facto accession, and de jure it will happen when our day comes."
