Decathlon Ukraine opens 20 corners in Silpo
KYIV. Aug 28 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Decathlon Ukraine has opened 20 corners [specially designated areas in the store for a certain product] in Silpo, head of the B2B direction of Decathlon Ukraine Olena Rodina told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to her, at the moment 74 positions are presented in corners, the emphasis is mainly on goods for tourism, compact bags and backpacks, as well as goods for fitness.
"We will add goods in the process of work and based on the preferences of Silpo’s clients. Also, about 10% of the goods will change depending on the seasonality," added Rodina.
According to her, prices in Silpo stores will be the same as in Decathlon stores.
Rodina clarified that the company is represented in Silpo not only in the capital, but also in other cities: Chernihiv, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Kherson, Kharkiv, Lviv, Kramatorsk, and Zaporizhia.
Answering the question of the Interfax-Ukraine agency about possible joint projects with other networks, she noted that the company intends to actively develop this direction. "We want the sport to become available to more people," explained Rodina.
Decathlon is known as a global leader in sports retail, specializing in the design, manufacture and retail of sports products for over seventy sports.
The first Decathlon store in Ukraine was opened in Kyiv in March 2019. Currently, there are three stores in the capital, as well as one in Odesa. In addition, Decathlon products are available for ordering in the online store.
The Silpo supermarket chain, which is part of the Fozzy Group, has 239 supermarkets in 61 cities of Ukraine.
