Danilov: Complete military defeat of Russia is best method to prevent escalation of conflict

KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The best method to "prevent the escalation of the conflict" is the complete and unconditional military defeat of Russia, according to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksiy Danilov.

“The best method of ‘preventing escalation of the conflict’ is to eliminate of the actual cause of the ‘escalation of the conflict’ – namely, the complete and unconditional military defeat of the so-called russia with the subsequent de-putinization, denuclearization and de-ruscization of the russian ‘inhabitants.’ The algorithm for eliminating the cause of the ‘escalation of the conflict’ is weapons, weapons and more weapons, everything else will be done by Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” he said on Facebook Wednesday.

“The so-called russia should disappear from the world map as a military and political entity within the limits in which it still exists – this is the most reliable (if someone hasn’t yet understood) security guarantee for Ukraine and the whole world,” Danilov stressed.

He noted that “Ukraine will use all available means and methods not prohibited by international law to punish the aggressor and liberate our territory. All objects on the occupied territory of Ukraine, where there is at least a small fragment of the russian tricolor rag, are our legitimate and potential targets.”
