Czech Republic grants temporary protection status to over 485,000 Ukrainians since beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion
KYIV. April 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Czech Republic has granted temporary protection status to more than 485,000 citizens of Ukraine since the beginning of Russsia’s full-scale invasion, which is a large number given the size of the country, Chargé d’Affaires for Ukraine in the Czech Republic Vitaliy Usatyi said.
“Since the beginning of the war, the Czech Republic has granted temporary protection status to more than 485,000 citizens of Ukraine. Considering the size of this country and its population of 10 million, these numbers are extremely large. In addition, it is incredibly important that the Czech Republic demonstrates consistent support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and supports us both at the bilateral level and within the framework of international organizations,” Usatyi said at an online briefing at Ukraine Media Center on Wednesday.
Charge d’Affaires said the Czech Republic also pays great attention to the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
Among other things, Usatyi said the Czech Republic “took patronage” over Dnipropetrovsk region.
