Creation of separate Verkhovna Rada Investigation Commission on Wagner members remains relevant – MP Viatrovych
KYIV. Sept 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Opposition factions insist on the creation of a separate temporary commission of inquiry on the arrest of Russian terrorists from the Wagner PMC, said Volodymyr Viatrovych, MP of the European Solidarity faction.
"On Friday, an interim commission of inquiry started working, which, as one of many questions, put the issue of Wagner member case on the agenda … And it consists exclusively of representatives of the Servant of the People party, that is, representatives of the authorities. We consider this approach itself as an attempt to exclude representatives of the opposition from additional information. Therefore, our demand to create a special commission of inquiry on Wagner members remains relevant, it should include, in particular, the chairmen of European Solidarity, Holos, who constantly initiated this," Viatrovych said on Monday before the continuation of the meeting of the interim commission of inquiry of the Verkhovna Rada on the investigation of possible illegal actions of representatives of state authorities and other persons against the sovereignty of Ukraine.
He stressed that the opposition will continue to monitor the actions of the authorities in relation to the investigation of this case.
