KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Corporate rights and property of enterprises worth more than UAH 1 billion, the beneficial owner of which is a citizen of Russia, a former member of the Russian parliament, have been seized, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO).
"At the request of the PGO, corporate rights and 25 real estate objects of enterprises that are among the largest producers of paper and cardboard in the territory of Ukraine have been seized. The total value of the seized property is estimated at more than UAH 1 billion," it said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
According to the PGO, the officials of these enterprises, the beneficial owner of which is a Russian ex-MP, while operating in Ukraine in 2019-2021, evaded paying taxes totaling over UAH 132 million and legalized property on an especially large scale (Article 212, Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Main Department of Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine.
The message does not indicate the name of the Russian ex-MP. As it became known to the Interfax-Ukraine News Agency, it is about Vladimir Krupchak.
