Corporate rights of Russian enterprise worth UAH 350 mln seized
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax-Ukraine) – At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), corporate rights and real estate of an enterprise, one of the largest manufacturers of semi-cooked products in the territory of Ukraine whose beneficial owner is a citizen of Russia, have been seized, the PGO has said.
"According to the investigation, the enterprise, whose beneficial owner is a Russian citizen, while carrying out its activities in the territory of Ukraine, in 2019-2021 evaded taxes totaling UAH 150 million," it said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The total cost of the seized assets is more than UAH 350 million, the PGO said, adding that the issue of transferring the seized property to the management of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) is being considered.
Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine conducted the pre-trial investigation into the criminal case under the procedural guidance of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
