Concept of Syhnivka industrial park presented in Lviv being developed by KSE with support of UK govt – Nefyodov

KYIV. March 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The concept of development of the Syhnivka municipal industrial park, which is being developed by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) with the support of the government of Great Britain (UK Aid), was presented in Lviv last week, said Maksym Nefyodov, the head of projects to support KSE reforms.

“The park will be located on 15 hectares with an area of 90,000 sq m of production space. The key industries are automotive industry, data centers, food and light industry. Focus on small and medium-sized businesses,” Nefyodov wrote on Facebook.

He noted that the next stages of the project will be approval at the session of Lviv City Council and registration of the industrial park in the relevant state register.

“After that, an open competition will be held to select a management company,” Nefyodov wrote.

As specified on the website of Lviv City Council, the Syhnivka site is located 5 km from the city center, near the circular road. It is connected to a centralized supply of water and sewerage, there is a railway line nearby, which can be brought to the site.

In addition, industrial investors work in neighboring areas, which makes it possible to attract their enterprises to cooperation.

“The plan that we are presenting will allow the city to create up to 1,500 additional jobs over the next 10 years, increase investment by approximately 1.5%,” Nefyodov said.

According to him, there is now a real boom in logistics in Lviv, and industrial parks, focused on increasing trade with Europe, are experiencing rapid growth.

As expected, the design and construction of the first stage of the park by the management company will begin in 2024.
