Come Back Alive fund receives UAH 4.2 bln, $28.1 mln in donations in six months
KYIV. Aug 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Come Back Alive fund for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the largest among similar funds in Ukraine, has received donations totaling UAH 4.2 billion and $28.12 million in cryptocurrency since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and as of August 22.
According to the Fund’s message on Facebook, the largest total cost was aerial reconnaissance, in particular, 3,043 copters worth UAH 614.43 million were purchased for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The next largest expenses are 364 vehicles worth UAH 385 million and 3,508 units of thermal imaging optics worth UAH 383.687 million," the fund said.
In addition, the Come Back Alive fund has implemented several large projects with unmanned aircraft, having bought the Bayraktar TB2 strike system for UAH 487.47 million, which consists of three strike drones, an air communication system, a mobile ground control complex and a friend or foe recognition system, and 10 PD-2 UAV complexes for UAH 203.84 million.
Other expenses include 13,274 radio stations for UAH 206.54 million, as well as, without specifying the cost, 21,410 bulletproof vests, 4,360 helmets, 6,420 demining kits and 830 metal detectors, 1,800 generators and 15,660 units of office equipment.
