Collaborators from de-occupied territories may flee or be convicted – Zelensky

KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Collaborators from the territories de-occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces may flee or be convicted in accordance with national law, President Volodymyr Zelensky has said.

"Kharkiv region – we are stabilizing the situation, holding positions. Firmly. So firmly that the invaders are noticeably panicking. Well, we warned that the Russian military in Ukraine had only two options: flight from our land or captivity. Collaborators have similar options – either they will try to escape – and it is not yet known whether Russia will let them into its territory despite the fact that it has given its passport, or whether collaborators will be convicted under Ukrainian law," Zelensky said in a video message.

He thanked the National Police and the Security Service for the quick restoration of law and order and efficiency.

"I can’t reveal all the details, but thanks to the SBU, we now have confidence that the occupiers will have no support on Ukrainian soil," he said.
