KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The direct freight traffic connected the Chinese city of Chongqing and Kyiv on August 29, a freight train with 50 containers of industrial equipment set off for the first time on this route between the cities, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua.
According to the schedule, the train will cross the state border through the Erenhot border crossing of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in northern China and will arrive in Kyiv in the middle of September.
Prior to that, export deliveries from Chongqing to Ukraine were carried out in transit through the territory of Belarus or Poland.
