Chile ready to become Ukraine's partner in implementation of Grain Initiative – Zhovkva
KYIV. April 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Republic of Chile is ready to become a partner of Ukraine in the implementation of the Grain Initiative as a point of the Peace Formula of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Deputy Head of the President’s Office Ihor Zhovkva has said.
“Chile is close to the history of the Grain Initiative. Chile is ready to act as Ukraine’s partner in implementing this point [of Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula],” Zhovkva said during the telethon.
In addition, according to him, there is a potential for establishing economic ties between Ukraine and Chile.
“Despite the geographical remoteness, there is every chance to establish economic ties after the victory. The trade turnover is not very large yet but this does not mean we won’t be able to restore and increase it. However, it’s Chile’s political support that is important today,” Zhovkva said.
As reported, on April 3, Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with President of Chile Gabriel Boric.
