Central Mining reduces production of pellets by 2.4% in Jan-Aug
KYIV. Oct 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Central Mining and Processing Plant (Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), part of Metinvest Group, in January-August of this year reduced production of commercial pellets, according to recent data, by 2.4% compared to the same the period of the previous year, to 1.55 million tonnes.
As the company told Interfax-Ukraine, in August production of pellets amounted to 210,000 tonnes.
Over eight months, Central Mining and Processing Plant reduced production of iron ore concentrate by 3.3%, to 3.13 million tonnes, including 430,000 tonnes produced in August.
Central Mining and Processing Plant is one of the five largest producers of mining raw materials in Ukraine. It specializes in extraction and production of iron ore raw materials – concentrate and pellets.
