Central Mining cuts production of pellets by 2.7% in Jan-July
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Central Mining and Processing Plant (Kryvy Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), part of Metinvest Group, in January-July this year, reduced production of commercial pellets, according to recent data, by 2.7% compared to the same the period of the previous year, to 1.33 million tonnes.
As the company told Interfax-Ukraine, in July production of pellets amounted to 210,000 tonnes.
Central Mining and Processing Plant reduced production of iron ore concentrate over the seven months by 3.4%, to 2.7 million tonnes, including about 420,000 tonnes produced in July.
Central Mining and Processing Plant is one of the five largest producers of mining raw materials in Ukraine. It specializes in extraction and production of iron ore raw materials – concentrate and pellets.
