Canada's financial contribution to help us maintain economic stability – PM on Ottawa's plans to provide $1.8 bln loan to Kyiv
KYIV. March 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal thanked the Canadian leadership for providing financial assistance of CAD 2.4 billion.
“We are grateful for the additional support of 2.4 billion CAD announced by Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland. Canada’s financial contribution will help us maintain economic stability and support Ukrainians affected by the war started by russia,” he said on Twitter on Wednesday night.
Earlier it was reported that Canada is going to provide a $1.8 billion loan to Ukraine through the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in budget year 2023.
