Canada slaps sanctions on Russia's Interior, Justice Ministries, Investigative, Central Election Commission
KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Canada extended its lists of anti-Russian sanctions on Friday to include the Interior Ministry, the Justice Ministry, the Investigative Committee and the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.
The reason for the latest imposition are gross violations of human rights, the Canadian government said in a statement.
In addition, Ottawa sanctioned Russia’s Federal Penitentiary Service and Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs.
Canada also added 33 additional individuals to its current sanctions list.
