Cabinet orders to include state-owned CHPPs in Naftogaz charter capital
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has ordered to include the stakes of Dniprovska CHPP, Mykolaiv CHPP, Kryvy Rih CHPP, Kherson CHPP, Odesa CHPP, as well as a joint-stock company, created on the basis of Severodonetsk CHPP, in the charter capital of NJSC Naftogaz until May 1, 2022.
The corresponding protocol order, voiced by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov, was given to the Ministry of Economy and the State Property Fund (SPF) with the involvement of Naftogaz at a government meeting on Wednesday.
According to it, these departments need to prepare a draft government resolution on this issue.
In addition, it was instructed to take measures to stop the privatization of Mykolaiv CHPP and exclude the unsold blocks of shares of the CHPP from the privatization list.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on August 4 made a decision to transfer to NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy the blocks of shares (over 99%) Dniprovska CHPP, Mykolaiv CHPP, Kryvy Rih CHPP, Kherson CHPP, Odesa CHPP, as well as the integrated property complex of Severodonetsk CHPP.
