Cabinet intends to capitalize Ukrfinzhytlo with state bonds for UAH 30 bln year end

KYIV. Dec 21 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine intends by the end of 2022 to carry out the issuance of government domestic loan bonds in the amount of UAH 30 billion in exchange for shares of the additional issue of Ukrfinzhytlo, follows from a draft government resolution published by MP (Holos faction) Yaroslav Zhelezniak on Telegram.

"The government plans to additionally inject UAH 30 billion into the Ukrainian Financial Housing Company by issuing bonds for 5 years at 19.5%. I hope this is to compensate for housing for those who lost it as a result of the war?" he wrote.

According to the draft resolution, the Ministry of Economy will be instructed to purchase shares of the additional issue of Ukrfinzhytlo for UAH 30 billion in exchange for government domestic loan bonds.

Ukrfinzhytlo is the coordinator of the state program of affordable mortgage lending for citizens eOselia. 100% of the shares belong to the state.

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said on Wednesday that the financing of Ukrfinzhytlo would be enough to issue 12,000-15,000 mortgage loans in 2023.
