Cabinet extends deadlines for submission, publication of financial statements
KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the deadline for the submission of a full package of annual financial statements by enterprises from February 28 to April 30 or June 1, depending on the requirements of the legislation on the date of publication of financial statements.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Finance, the resolution on amendments to the procedure for submitting financial statements was adopted at a meeting on September 22.
According to it, the deadline for submitting interim financial statements by enterprises has also been extended from the 25th to the 30th day of the month following the reporting quarter.
In addition, the deadline for submitting financial statements under IFRS, annual financial statements for 2020 and interim financial statements for 2021 in a single electronic format to the financial reporting center by enterprises has been extended until December 31, 2021, the ministry said.
The Ministry of Finance said that these changes were adopted at the request of enterprises and regulators and contain an agreed position of the Ministry of Finance, the State Statistics Service, the State Tax Service and other regulators on the extension of such deadlines, taking into account the requirements of the law on accounting and financial reporting in Ukraine.
The amendments to the procedure stipulate that enterprises that are required to publish their annual financial statements shall submit two forms to the tax service and state statistics bodies by February 28 of the next reporting year – a balance sheet and a financial statement.
