Cabinet attributes import of royalties for literary works, payment for new exhibitions to critical one

KYIV. April 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Payments under license agreements for the services of granting intellectual property rights for the use of literary works, including royalties, payment of membership fees, and payment of expenses related to the participation of the state institution Ukrainian Book Institute in international events have been added to the list of critical imports.

According to the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, on the Telegram channel, the government made the corresponding decision at a meeting on Friday.

Also, the list is supplemented with the payment of expenses stipulated by the agreements concluded by the Ukrainian Book Institute under the program to support the translation of works of Ukrainian literature into other languages.

In addition, the critical import of services, for which the purchase of foreign currency is allowed, includes expenses related to the participation of Ukrainian companies in a number of new international exhibitions. In particular, we are talking about the leather industry, packaging, uniforms and equipment in the field of security, innovations in the field of textiles and clothing, furniture, technology and innovation, metalworking, as well as machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex.
