Business not to be able to independently choose model of activity in ‘yellow’ quarantine zones – Liashko
KYIV. Nov 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Business will not be able to independently choose a model of activity in the “yellow” quarantine zones.
As Minister of Health Viktor Liashko said at a briefing on Thursday, this is provided for by amendments to the quarantine decree (No. 1236), which tighten the requirements for businesses to comply with quarantine restrictions.
“If earlier business could choose a model of activity in the ‘yellow zone’ – not to check documents on vaccination or negative test, but to work in accordance with certain restrictions on the area or check documents and work without restrictions of this level, now they are losing this option,” he said.
Liashko said that, according to the amendments to the decree, only people who have received at least one vaccine against COVID-19 or who have a negative test or a certificate of recovery will be allowed to visit public institutions in the “yellow zones”.
The same rule applies to civil servants.
“Toughening the rules for the unvaccinated is necessary to reduce the burden on doctors and the medical system, because it is those patients who have not received a full course of vaccinations that mainly go to hospitals,” the minister said.
He also said that, according to the adopted changes, the validity period of the “yellow” certificate was reduced to 30 days, while earlier it was valid for 120 days.
