Bosch intends to place facilities for production of power tools in Ukraine – Economy Ministry
KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Robert BOSCH LTD (Germany) intends to locate power tools production facilities in Ukraine and is currently studying location options, Steffen Hoffmann, the President of Bosch Group in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Central Asia, Mongolia and the Caucasus, has said.
"Ukraine for us is an interesting and important region for investment. There are serious intentions to organize capacities for the production of power tools here," the press service of the Economy Ministry quotes Hoffmann, following a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Oleksiy Liubchenko in Kyiv.
"Currently in the process of studying is the location for production, analysis of the proximity of sales markets, skilled labor and organizational issues," Hoffmann added.
During the meeting, the parties discussed preferences for large investors, as well as important directions of economic development for Ukraine in the areas of decarbonization, green energy, energy storage.
"The government has approved ambitious plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to 35% compared to 1990, and a large segment of the nationally determined contribution is to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. That is why the Ukrainian side will welcome proposals and technical recommendations on the implementation of the latest energy strategies from the leading manufacturers," the ministry said.
